About Charity Shot

Hey! I'm Ed, a.k.a Charity Shot. I picked up photography to get out of the house a bit. I work in tech as a Platform Engineer, so I spend most of the day sat at a desk. Getting out with a camera moves me about, drags me out of my comfort zone, and I've met some amazing people doing it. I'm based in Portsmouth, but you'll often find me in Emsworth, Southsea, Bedhampton or wherever else in Hampshire.

The name? I started out on cameras I found in charity shops. Cheap old things nobody wanted. The kit has grown since, but I still reckon you don't need the best gear to get going. You just need to get out and shoot.

I love street photography and try to focus on that. But you'll often catch me down on the coast chasing golden hour and nice light.
